LET’S CONNECT

Meilei Paet-De Silva is a Guam-born, Brooklyn-raised Art Director, Filmmaker, and Editor whose work lives at the intersection of culture, identity, and visual storytelling. As a Chamorro creative shaped by two worlds—an island that rooted her and a city that expanded her—she brings a perspective grounded in empathy, community, and deep human curiosity.

Entirely self-taught, she found filmmaking through instinct and persistence, teaching herself to shoot and edit long before she had the language for what she was becoming—turning exploration into purpose.

Her work centers stories often left unseen, creating space for people to feel understood, reflected, and valued. She crafts concepts, directs, shoots, and edits with intention, care, and emotional truth.

Across all mediums, her practice holds a simple belief: when stories are told with authenticity, they can shift perspective, deepen connection, and expand how we see one another.

She creates not just to document the world, but to honor the people who shape it.
